as you all know a comp i put together each year at calshot, run by the club. we are begining to think about it now and are open to any suggestions, so. Begin to chuck ideads our way. we need sponsers for the event, new toys, prizes magazine covage and so on i sure you get the jist, so all new and extra ideas would be good.
Also anyone that can get us cheap materials or free materials for a new toy for the comp and at calshot let us know about it. We want a new rail or long grind box.....also we are open to designs for the toy so let us know your ideas and wishes.
don't have the comp at calshot, have it at bassett. sounds gay (no snowflex, out doors etc etc) but.......... it could be sweet, no in fact super sweet and sick. you could utilise the whole slope. rails and stuff every where. bassets got a kinda tree run and an interconnecting cat track, it would be sick. you already have
small rail, large rail, blue rail, rainbow, box, basset large rail, basset small rail, basset ramper (2) , i would make some new ramps as the basset ramps are gash.
you would only have to make some others. think about it. just make the wackest thing possible
how about asking cricketers to sponser the 'keg olie' all you need is for cricketers to give you 5 or 6 empty barrels. tie them on the floor on the interconnecting cat track and put a simple ramp up at one end and there you have it. why not get 9 barrels and have it 2 rows high? i reckon basset will be up for it if you made it a joint effort and they can almost garunteeeeeeee sponsor ship from trespass. it would almost be like amped, with all the trees, rails, untold amounts of lines you could even have like 2 or 3 start areas as there are 2 lifts there. if its like amped, ss tricky or the new 1080 you have tree possible sponsors there already.

What the Rhodes says is true - basset is the answer.
This is Why.
i) Calshot is limiting , though fun and safe it only allows for one hit runs, and if you compare other slopes/comps they are much more advanced.
ii) calshot costs £500 for the day - Basset will be free.
iii) mike, who runs basset, is a top geezer and would like nothing better than to have a comp. he says we could do what we want and he will help out with loadsa stuff - thats they key word 'help' - calshot only hinder, and make it difficult to get things going.
iv) they have an airbag.
there are many more reasons but im at work so i best be off ....
went to basset today to start to get the ball rolling, only mike (aother Mike that manages basset) was away on holiday, i will go down again next week.
Please can I voluteer to build the rails and box's etc, I have easy access to a cheap welder who is fuelled on beer and pizza and is relatively cheap. (He'll sleep with anyone) and some sick ideas. I heard thro the grapevine that bassett are currently in the process of making another double hand rail (smaller than there 5ft high beastie) and a C-rail. And if this Mike geeza is down with building some big stuff then that would be phat, I've got some crazy plans!
All we have to sort is a source of wood and metal. Mike's old man (rainbow god) has managed to blag us some perspex so were gonna have some sick boxes.
We need to sort sponsors (big names) and coverage. We got some good stuff after the last comp so we should be able to get more sorted this time. And more coverage means more sponsorship.
Plus, I don't wanna sound like a cheesy twat quoting some dumb film, but:
we have the go ahead from basset and calshot......calshot will alow beer, basset wont! also parking is a problem at basset, give us feed back on what you all think and where you want it
Hi Guy's im back in the country and poping down calshot on wednesday. Trespass has almost garantied sponsorship for the event. Let ya no within the next few days if definate. C YA Luke
